| The Chelty has long been a centre for the community and this is reflected in the generosity of the hotel. We offer our dining room for meetings to local businesses free of charge, to the local plunket coffee group, total vets, farmers discussion groups, Fonterra and Horizons just to name a few. We support the community in all fundraising events such as the school motor cross fundraiser and Cheltenham School also did the catering for the speed shear as a fundraiser for the school. Orua Feilding old boys rugby shirts were gifted shirts by us. We also supply the venue for local school fundraising and hosting the end of year tenis prize giving just to name a few.We are totally commited to getting changes for our local community We expressed concern to the local paper about the poor telephone service in the area.
